Danny’s House would like to thank the District Attorney’s Office Forfeiture Fund for the $25,000 awarded in April 2024 for supporting a portion of the salary of our Recovery Coach who will provide direct services such as wrap-around recovery coaching to assist residents, many who are returning citizens, in managing day-to-day situations in real time to prevent a return to drugs to cope.
Danny’s House would like to thank the Patricia Kind Family Foundation for the grant of $75,000 over three years awarded in February 2024 providing support to staff who provide Recovery Coaching and Case Management support to our residents. Services include wraparound recovery coaching, life skills & job training, employment retention services, connecting and monitoring of outpatient counseling, psychiatric/medical/ dental care, and complying with probation and child custody requirements.
Danny’s House would like to thank The Saturday Club for providing $4,207 in January 2024 to purchase a treadmill, elliptical, dumb bell hand weights, and a gym/ exercise mat so residents can work out as a group and support each other in their goals of health and fitness. Through regular and active use of the fitness equipment, women will be able to lessen anxiety, depression, and stress. These are common symptoms in recovery that can lead to relapse. Exercise helps to curb the cravings and can lead to an increase of abstinent days.
Danny's House greatly appreciates the grant of $100,000 awarded in June 2023 as part of the Overdose Prevention and Community Healing Fund in partnership with the City of Philadelphia and the Scattergood Foundation. Funds will be used to provide residents with intensive recovery coaching and case management.
Danny's House would like to thank Meg Bell Knysh, trustee of the Elaine and Vincent Bell Foundation for their generous donation of $4,000, received in November 2023.
